September 23: Poetry and Prayer

Drawing on poets like Gerard Manley Hopkins and Patrick Kavanagh, this day will reflect on how poetry can stimulate and enrich our prayer (Vincent O’Hara OCD)

October 14: Finding Peace where you are

The goal of this retreat is to open our hearts to the full reality of our lives as children of God and citizens of the Cosmos.  The retreat is open to all who wish to find meaning and peace in life, in spite of all the cause for alarm that we find around us.   (Des O’Grady and Dee Hennessy)

Friday November 3 – St Elizabeth of the Trinity

A Day Retreat (10 am to 4 pm) on this newest of Carmelite saints, with her strong message of the Indwelling of the Trinity  (Sr Elizabeth Fitzpatrick OSF)

November 25: St John of the Cross

St John of the Cross used a rich array of symbols in his writings as he explored our relationship with God.  We will examine his use of symbolism as a way of helping us towards friendship with God.       (Jim Noonan OCD)

December 2: Emmanuel

“Out of sight, out of mind?”   This Advent retreat will explore God’s tender invitation to us, and our response.  It will examine how we can ‘put on the mind of Christ’ so as to be ready to celebrate a past event as a present source of life.      (Tony Parsons OCD)
