ā€œAll or Nothingā€ – Exploring the spirituality of Sr Clare Crockett, SHM

Clare Crockett (1982-2016) was a young Derry woman who loved to party – a Derry Girl. She was a talented actor. As the age of 17 while on a visit to Spain she had an experience of Godā€™s love which would later change her life. She initially fought against a call to a deeper relationship with Jesus but eventually decided to enter the Servant Sisters of the Home of Mother. She developed a deep spirituality with similarities to St Therese of the Child Jesus. She and five young people were tragically killed in an earthquake in Ecuador in 2016. Her cause for canonization is due to be opened in the near future. Her story is told by her friend Sr Kristen Gardner, SHM in the book ā€œAll of Nothing.ā€ There is also a video on YouTube entitled ā€œAll or Nothing.ā€ Copies of the book will be available to buy at the Avila Centre for ā‚¬13.
